India gets the first glass skywalk

If walking on a glass skywalk is your travel dream, then your wait is over and you don’t need to get an international travel visa to do so. A wonderful desi glass skywalk has been made in Sikkim’s Pelling. The skywalk in Pelling is located opposite the 137 ft tall statue of Chenrezig, amidst the magnificent Himalayas.

The Sikkim Skywalk is the first glass skywalk in India. It has been built so as to give a wonderful view of the Chenrezig statue and the stairs that lead up to it, with golden prayer wheels on each side.

It allows the person to look down several thousand feet in the air. You get to behold everything down to the bottom of the mountain. This walkway is not for the fainthearted, or anyone who has vertigo.

The Chenrezig statue in Pelling is the fourth tallest statue in Sikkim. The Sikkim Skywalk is India’s very first glass Skywalk. It gives a spectacular view of the Chenrezig statue and the stairs that lead up to it, with golden prayer wheels on both sides.

Just hold the railing and do not look down on your walk if it will make your heart pound with fear, you could also take an adrenaline-pumping selfie, which gets all the likes! The skywalk in Pelling also allows tourists to catch the sight of Teesta and Rangit rivers flowing closeby.
