It is an eminent example of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the frightful word “Kala Paani” that we have heard is referred to this place. It is a former British Prison that reminds us of our political dissidents that were jailed in it. Although several of its parts have been destroyed by the Japanese in World War II, it still reminds us of our brave and lion-hearted forefathers. Visiting between 9 am to 5 pm for the lighting shows- 5.30pm to 6.30 pm (Hindi) and 6.45pm to 7.45pm (English).
