The Terracotta Army

There are over 7,000 pottery soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons which have been unearthed in the amazing Terracotta Army. These Warriors and Horses are the most significant archeological excavations of the 20th century. And not a single visitor to China want to miss this wondrous site. At the The Terracotta Army most of the statues have been restored to their former glory. A museum was built on this site in 1975 by the State Council authority.People from far and near came to visit this place and research always keep going on and the Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses has become landmarks on all visitors’ itinerary. And these Life size terracotta excavations of horses and warriors arranged in battle formations are treated as the star features at the museum. The army is positioned in strict accordance like the archers and the senior officers and generals with the ancient directives on the Art of War.

The Terracotta Army is so important because it has hundreds of detailed lifesize models portraying the history of an army that achieved great victories over all other Chinese armies and who were the decisive factor in forming a united China. Every figure has different facial features, expression, clothing, hairstyle, and gestures  from the other around. These statues are a mark and remembrance of what the royal warriors should look like in those days of glory, effort, energy, and enthusiasm.
